The addition of clip on lenses for mobile phones opens up the scope of iphone photography, and these kind of lenses have been around for quite some time. However, choices were pretty limited – you could either go for cheap and nasty, with the resulting photos not worth the effort. Or you could go for good quality, but these lenses were quite expensive. Now it’s possible to get mid price range clip on lenses, which offer a good balance between price and the quality of your resulting photos.
I am a self-confessed lover of gadgets of all kinds, but especially where technology and photography are concerned. Finally my resistance broke down, and I decided to once again try out accessory lenses for my iphone. I bought a clip on set of two lenses online, at a price I could afford, and looking at reviews, I should be able to get good results with these lenses.
Check out the photo below to see what I bought for just under AU$60
I was really interested in a macro lens, as I enjoy taking photos of flowers, vegetation and insects and really like to show the finer details. The set I picked includes a 15 x macro lens and also a wide angle lens, as well as a clip on LED light.
In the next few days I’ll go out, take some comparison photos and post these here. I think the results could be very interesting indeed.
